Bad for Businesses

So the governor of this Communist state, NY, just implemented a law mandating paid family medical leave, instead of the unpaid FMLA that everybody can get. There's a lot of people that like the idea, but it's really bad. It is too easy for people to get FMLA for the dumbest excuses, and now that it will be paid leave, the people that already abuse the system have an even bigger incentive, and the ones that don't currently because they don't want to lose the money, will also abuse it. Businesses don't want employees that they can't rely on to come to work every day. This law only encourages more jobs to leave the state. It is also hurts the workers, because now we will have another tax taken out of our pay checks each week. I certainly don't want to pay for some lazy oaf to take even more time off, and get paid for it! We should be able to opt out. This law is just another incentive for me to move out of state. Hopefully I'll be out of here long before 2018 when the added theft of my wages starts.
