The Little Turd

I swear, that's what I should have named him instead of Captain. I do occasionally call him Captain Crazy, but Little Turd (or when my kids aren't around a different four letter word) would have been a better name. He just gets into so much trouble sometimes. Yesterday I noticed that he managed to lose his collar (you can see the bell on it in the picture). I haven't seen the collar since it was on him yesterday morning. I have an idea of where it might have come off, but I haven't looked yet. He likes to get up into the ceiling in our laundry room. Half the walls are finished in there and the ceiling is not finished. He's found a way to get into the ceiling above our hallway outside of the laundry room. He jumps onto the washer onto the water heater and up onto a wire shelf (not sure how he can stand to stand on those small wires) and then up into the ceiling. My laundry room is so small that I can't remove the shelf to prevent him from getting up there. We've talked about putting sheet rock up to block his ceiling access, but haven't gotten around to it. My feeling is that he got his collar caught on something in that process and since it's one of those cat collars that pulls off if they get stuck, it would have just popped right off. I should go look for it and see if I'm right. I swear, the does some of these things just to frustrate me. But he makes up with it with his loud purrs when he wants attention.

@jaboUK Those collars are only a few dollars so it isn't too bad. I don't spend much on cat collars since they don't go outside at all. I just prefer them to have one on so if they get out people know they are a pet and not a stray. Unfortunately Captain seems to prefer not to have a collar on.

It definitely takes time to get used to cats if your not used to them. I had cats growing up and we've had Allie for over 7 years now. I just got spoiled by Allie the last few years. She's so lazy she hardly gets into anything. I think Captain is making up for that, he's into everything. He is cute though, and purrs really loud (which I like).
