I'd look in the mirror and see an aging face. There are still no obvious lines on my forehead although I can tell they'd be coming soon but that's okay. Life has to move forward.
I look inside and I know that in general I'm not a bad person. I'm just not perfect like everybody else. That being said though, we can't always use that excuse, especially when we know others might get hurt from the choices that we make. But aren't we entitled to be selfish and choose our happiness as well? Life is so complicated.
There are things I know that should be ironed out in myself and in my life. I've been praying for my problems to be solved but inside I know that therein lies the core of it all and it must be eradicated because that's the only way good things will follow.
Work from the inside-out.

I actually becomes happier as I get older. We are entitled to choose our happiness, nothing selfish about that. As long as it doesn't conflict with our responsibilities. I don't like too much responsibilities, hence I don't have any dependent. It's good and I plan to keep it that way.

@maxen07 there's a difference between being selfish and taking care of yourself. The difference is whether the action hurts another undeserved person or not

There are many interesting observations in your post. It is hard to do everything at once. Work on improving one thing at a time. Choose a goal and see what you can do to reach it. W do live in a difficult world and so not all things are attainable or will work out. We do our best! All the best!
