(This is the second part of "My New Angel... at last")
"It Really Was Owned By A Little Old Lady." Sounds like a made up salesman's pitch, but it's not.
In 1998 a woman in her late sixties bought the '98 Passat wagon that I now own. She kept it in a garage when she wasn't enjoying driving around in it. (I have a large envelope with the receipts for all maintainence and services that were done to the car over the years.)
When she passed away, her son inherited it. He already had a car and a truck and also kept it garaged, except for a few times he used it. After a while he signed the title and gave it to our auto mechanic.
The mechanic never titled it in his own name, because his intent was to give it to his son. For months he worked on making sure it was in very good running condition and very safe. For a few more months he had it parked outside his business garage. (The only time it wasn't parked in a garage.) His son decided he didn't want it. We all figured it's because he wanted something a little "cooler".
Now I own that car. I don't have a garage, however it will be well maintained and kept clean.
Miracles do happen. Have you had a miracle?

Great find! The only miracles I get with a vehicle is if they don't break down within the first month of purchase.

A few years ago we went to our dealership to test drive a used SUV. The salesman, who has sold us a number of vehicles over the decades, gave us the keys to take a SUV for a test drive. Upon our return my husband attempted to make him a deal on this vehicle. But he refused. He told us that this was the base model and that he had a little old lady who had the same make but with all of the options on it that he'd have for sale soon. She had ordered a new one and was just waiting for its arrival and then her old one would be for sale. We received a call a few days later, and for the same price that my husband offered for the base model, he bought the top of the line vehicle. And it was so well cared for, that we asked the salesman when she sells her next one to call us.

She already tapped me on the shoulder and smiled while I was cleaning inside the car.

In the mid-1970's my folks bought a 1968 Chevy Nova - 8 cylinder - from a golfing friend of my mother's. It was her friend's father's car, but he mostly didn't drive it because he was beginning to lose his faculties. It had less than 20,000 miles on it, had been in a garage most of that time, had terrible mileage - it was an 8 cylinder after all - and no radio. I know... no radio. My folks gave it to me in 1980-ish. I'm not going to say I LOVED that car, but when I needed to accelerate, it had the power to GO!

Looks like you got very lucky. There are some disadvantages of owning a vehicle like this one. One is, you are likely to have people wanting a lift. You could go UBER with it. lol
