Can you remember yourself at 12 years old? I think that you would probably have been in grade 6. What was the turning point in your life at 12 years of age? For me, it was moving from the country to a rough part of a city... where I really didn't fit in. It was like putting a little girl into a classroom of teenagers. At least that is how it felt. What is your story or was your turning point to take place at a different age.

At that age, I was living by myself. I had just left home one year before and by the age of 12, I had returned home and left again; however, with permission of my parents. I think that was a turning point in my life and I have no regrets; on the contrary, I only wish I had had the experience and knowledge necessary to have done it earlier. I was in 6th or 7th grade. I donĀ“t remember well.

I was in 6th Standard , I moved to a English medium school from a Hindi medium school. Initially i was afraid. But I started learning English and came out with flying colors in exams. I scored 95% and topped the class. That year changed my life........introduced me to a beautiful language English.

It's so nice to hear something good coming out of that year. It's usually so traumatic for so many of us!!

Not totally sure what I was doing at the age of 12, it could have been the year I finally have my own bedroom :)

I don't know that I had a turning point although I had a hard time adjusting to the city when I moved from a farm to the big smoke.

I can imagine your nervousness. We made the mistake of changing schools in October after all the little groups of friends had already been made. Glad that everything worked out for you!

12 years old....That was about the time we moved away from my lifelong home and first mom, dad, my brother and I lived in a 1 bedroom duplex where my brother and I shared the living room for a bedroom. From there we moved to a little house in the back. It had rooms in the basement but they leaked, so once again we shared the living room for a bedroom.

I was thinking of where to study for High School because I was already Grade 6 them. My parents said, I will be taking my High School at the same school so that all of us siblings will have the same school and there will be no problems when it comes to adjustment. I missed my former classmates then who transferred to a different school.
