What to do when garments bought online don´t fit.

I have read a lot of people who buy their clothes and shoes online. And when I check at the web I notice that they are usually cheaper than the price you can get at a store. But, how can you know that the garments will fit you well? I bought some leggins a couple of years ago. They looked beautiful and although I just wanted to use them at home, I also wanted them to be comfortable. They weren´t. They were smaller than what I wanted although it was the biggest size and I´m not obese. I imagine that the same thing would happen with shoes. I need to see them and touch them. And then, try them on. I am picky as shoes go. I have bought a freezer and a couple of such things online. Those were fine after long talks over the phone as they took their time to sent it. With my freezer, the manager was so ashamed at the end that he gave me an electric pan to make rice as a gift. I prefer my old pot though. What do you buy online? What problems have you encountered?

I only buy clothes or shoes online after I have tried them on in a store. Free return shipping is a must too. If they don't offer it, I don't buy.

Sometimes even the material is not how it looks in a picture.

I have had a couple of things come in the wrong size but a lot of times I don't want to ask daughter to get something for me as I have to either trust her with my card or give her an amount and sometimes I don't get a receipt. lol

Books is another thing! And I am thankful that we can buy books, be it paper books or ebooks.

I only buy clothing on-line when I'm familiar with the sizing of that item.

For me, buying clothes is not only about size. I have to feel happy with the way I look.

I had bought a pair of shoes, some shirts, caps and other cellphone accessories online. There are some that arrived with defects, especially those that I bought using my points. I didn't return them anymore because basically, I didn't spend cash. I am just glad my shoes and shirts fit me well.

I´m glad some of them worked. Still, it is a loss.

Thata frustrating. Part of the problem seems to be that different brands fit differently. I only buy from brands I know will fit. Like Old Navy. Or other brands I have a lot of. Its a huge pain to have to return them in the mail!

That is the good thing about going out shopping. You try the garments. It is not only whether they fit ot not. For me, even if I´m entering the 7th decade, it also means whether I "like" how I look
