Man or material?

April 25, 2016 2:19am CST
People love things. Things never love people back. People also love people. So thus constant fight between man and material never ends. Should people invest in people or things. Can material things bring the same joy as people do?

No man is an island they say. So for me we cant be happy just by mere material alone. We need another being to interact, we need another person to grow as a human.I cannot compare material over people because they are different in a sense that they fulfill our need in different aspect.

True, even if we are provided the best of materialistic pleasures in life, but we have no human treasure to interact or share, it will be of no significance for me.

If we stick to reality than many times material is better than people because we can't tell about anyone(that's my view). So getting left out by material is not so hurting as with man. It's true that if we are more philosophical than we should get connected to people rather than material.

Well thats the reality of life. Material happiness is important. But relationships are also important.

I would certainly invest in people and relationships or friendship rather than material things. I agree materialistic things are very important in life , but they cannot replace the the importance of people in my life.

So would I. Investing in a human bond goes a long way in enhancing a persons happiness
