Well Done!

This morning I went outside at 6:30 A.M. to take the garbage and the recycling out to the curb. And by 8:00 A.M. the empty canisters were already back in the garage. Well done Mr. Garbage man, I am glad that you came early as it is going to rain later on. I always feel so much better when all that old stuff is gone, it is the start of a new week and all is well. Now, the lawn is going to be awfully long as we can not mow it today again because of the coming rain. That I don't like.

Ours goes out in the morning and if we're lucky they can be moved back in by mid afternoon. I never know when they will come, I think they change up their routes just to confuse us...Its raining here now.

Our bins would have been emptied today too. They are done at the other end of the property. We will bring them in in the morning. I always enjoy getting rid of rubbish.

When I went over to my old house to check on it the other day, I noticed that the grass is beginning to grow again. That means I have to hire someone to cut the grass again. It never ends. This is going to drive me crazy!

@marlina That's up to the bank and they aren't saying. That's been the whole problem throughout this process.

That's strange that the government stopped the program. Bad move.

We don't have garbage collectors in our place but I also hope we will have one in the future.

@marlina We have our own garbage pit at home. I think it is still better if they collect our garbage.

It´s always a relief to have the unneeded stuff out of the house. The rain should pour its share and the ground and stop soon, hopefully!

It was garbage day here too, though we call it dustbin day. We have two separate collections today, one for paper and one for garden waste. My son mowed my lawn on Saturday, so it's ok for another week.

@marlina Oh yes, a weekly recycling and garden waste collection. There is also a waste food collection, very handy for the pet food. Cats are so picky!

It's interesting that you don't like the rain coming but on our side of the globe, we've been praying for the rains to come because the land is now parched and there's the frequency of forest fires because of the dry vegetation being easily ignited.

I like the rain coming but not today. Sorry that you don't have enough rain, I do understand how much it is needed over there.

We have no garbage collector in our place, there are collectors in the city proper. What we did is to make a compost pit segregating the biodegradable and non biodegradable garbage, the non biodegradable will be send to the city proper.

The forecast here in Calgary was it was going to rain a bit today, so I mowed our lawn yesterday. O, yeah it rained a bit this morning. - - good for the grass.

Yes it gives a nice feeling if the garbage had been removed. Good thing, a garbage collector, a woman at that, goes the round every Monday and Wednesday. I had my garbage segregated already for her to pick up: the recyclables like bottles, cartons, cans, plastics, which she can sell to a junkshop, and the rest are real garbage. I don't include the kitchen waste which I use as fertilizer for our plants.

Our recycling bin is getting full, but there's not much in the trash can. Ours goes out tomorrow.
