Honesty in Advertising?

Tube Poster

While wandering, aimlessly, around London last week I spotted this poster on a Tube train. It struck me that Vegas and it ad agency may have been a bit desperate, but possibly not as much as the Brits who are winging their way to the desert, as I type!

Vegas wants everybody's money. I lost $1000 dollars last time I was there (which is what I set as my limit.)

Winging their way to the desert why is that. Is it true that there will be a doctors couple of days with not helping anyone is it because of wages or the long hours that they work?

@Ronrybs Wonder what will happen if someone goes to the hospital and needs to see a doctor.

@Marcyaz Consultantants are covering, but it will be less than perfect. Having provoked this state of affairs I am looking forward to the Gov's next great move

Yes, the Government has managed to upset the Drs. This has been dragging on for a while.

Lol! I hate to say it - but as an American at least - we gals love British accents. Kind of a lot. And Australian, French, anything European is like music to a LOT of girls' ears. I don't live in Vegas, though, so I can't say for them (they may be an entirely different breed over there.)

@Ronrybs I think its probably because we dont encounter many Brits here. It sounds so exotic.

I frequently wonder why, it just sounds so everyday to me! I quite like Califronian accents

@maezee Whenever I am in London there are plenty of American accents as well as a lots of European, so I guess we are used to them, not to mention all the US TV shows we get

I think they are if they are. Guess they do think that many people are up to that kind of thing and would want to come to a place like them where gambling and quick pleasures are on every night.

It`s the spirit of adventure and to the younger generation it`s a competition, "you went to London im going to paris, she went to Prag im going further" Not realizing what they are doing is making the airlines richer.

I think you've hit on something. I remember a few years back it was all about Iceland, now it is back to the US.

@Ronrybs I know it happens here, someone goes somewhere for vacation then you have to save harder to go farther

@miniam You are right, I have noticed this sort of "challenge".

I am an Ameican, but have British ancestry, so the accent doesn't faze me. To be honest, no accent fazes me, but the sound of my native Philadelphian can really ease my mind.

My father was an American, so I am in a similar boat. Roanoke is one of those places I've wanted to see.

My son and his girlfriend went to Vegas a few weeks ago and did enjoy their trip very much. Personally I have absolutely no interest.

I did not know they are delighted by the British accents, but I know that when I traveled in the United States they always asked if I was British.

That's an easy one isn't it? I wonder if it works for Australians?

The Bible (I must be beginning to sound like a broken record) likens our day to the time of Sodom and Gomorrah. Expect trash and loose morals to proliferate. If they did not, the Bible would not be true.
