Will you try century egg?

Perhaps the century egg from my country is the most weird food for foreigners. In fact it is a common food here. It is not smelly but foreigners may think it has a bad look. We mainly use the century egg to make the congee. In the north China, people usually use it to cook with other food or just eat them directly. I wonder have you ever seen the century egg and will you try it?

In the past I didn't like durian but I like it now. People will have a diet change as time goes by

@youless Yes. You are right. Many people didn't like to eat bitter gourd when they were young. But, they like to eat when they are grown.

i LOVE century egg. its hard to find a restaurant here that has those eggs on the menu. i used to go to this specific place just to have one (or two orders) even though i dont like their food haha..

Yes, I love it with congee too. When we add in some mince meat, "you tiao", spring onion, and century egg, the congee tastes so good.

Perhaps it does need some courage to try it at first but I can tell you there is no bad smell from it

This food to me looks as disgusting as the smelly fish you mentioned in another post. As I said any food can look delicious for one country and disgusting for another.
