Just kidding. I actually got gas yesterday. It cost $1.939 a gallon. Today, I drove by the same gas station. Gas is now $2.149. What the heck happened overnight? My journey took me by several other gas stations. Most of them were the same. I soon as I passed into the "city" gas was $1.959. It was the same as yesterday. I guess the greedy inflation hadn't made it to the town.

LOL. The south east is always less expensive. They are gauging the prices though. LOL I can't believe it is going up again.

I hate how it jumps and falls so dramatically. I have heard in the past that around holidays it jumps dramatically and also as the weekend is apporaching it does as well. Here it has been hovering back and forth between $1.90 and $2.20. There was a point a few months ago where it had dropped down to $1.40. I loved that!

That's what it was here too. I noticed it was actually less than the $2.15 over the weekend. I guess after Monday they decided to hike it up.

I have not seen gas less than $2 a gallon in years. It's sad that out here it seems like the current $2.70ish seems on the lower end for now - and we just know it's not going to stay that way!

Are you on the west coast or inland. I am happy our gas isn't that expensive yet. I'm sure it will be though.

@much2say The prices are high out there! I don't know how anyone makes enough money to pay for their trip to and from work.

A few months ago I was saying the same thing, one day gas was around a $1.50 and then boom it was almost a $1.80 in just a couple of weeks. It has leveled off and we are hovering around $2.10 near home and $2 near work. It's way better than the almost $4 that it was a couple of years ago so I'm not going to complain about it. It's frustrating though when you plan on getting gas in a couple days and the price jumps before you get to the station.

@beaniefanatic13 I almost never get lucky enough to catch the gas when it is cheap. I usually have a full tank when that happens. Let the price jump up 20 cents and I am at the pump.

Have you filled up the tank with cheap oil? If it gets any cheaper, you can have it for dinner too. In this way, you can run on gas!

Ours is running about $2:15 right now. I have seen that kind of thing happen, not sure why it does happen though. Wish it would just stay at less than $2. I could live with that

The changing from the winter to the summer grade of gas could be part of the reason for the sudden higher prices as it happened here a month or so ago and that was the reason given at the time

Everytime they change they give that as a reason. I actually live further south than you. LOL I think they want an excuse. LOL
