I would like to introduce you to a wonderful French singer named Charles Aznavour. But I have included an English version of one of my favorite song from him titled" Hier Encore".
I just love, love the lyrics of this song. So well said and sung.
Now, I am sure that @LadyDuck is familiar with the French version but not sure how many other of my friends here speak the French language, the language of love. Or so they say!
Ever listened to Aznavour before?

I love Aznavour and I´m old enough to have had him as one of my idols. I specially like Et maintenant.

@BelleStarr To me, it's the words, they have a stronger impact on me in French.

@marlina There is some setting messed up and all they do is 'scroll' that white circle thing over and over.

I'm not familiar with this artist, but will enjoy listening to it.
Although we live in a small rural francophone village, we do not speak French. They speak an odd dialect out here that a lot of true Frenchmen find difficult to understand. So I just stick to my English.

That name is a blast from the past for me. I haven't heard that name in ages but I do vaguely remember him

Bonjour! I've heard Aznavour many times. I only took high school French and refresher classes in college before our first trip to Paris. I can read, speak, and write it much better than understanding what is spoken. My son told me Canadian French is quite different from that spoken in France, at least the vowels are pronounced differently.

When I was little Roy Clark's version of "Yesterday, When I Was Young" was a huge hit. When I got older I made sure I investigated the Aznavour original.
