IRS Scam

If the IRS calls you saying you owe them money it's a scam. I worked for CPAs & I know the IRS never calls you. If the send you a letter or an IRS notice in the mail it is legit. But a phone call from the IRS is a scam. Be Careful.

My mother had a call like that a few months ago, from the IRS scam folk. She was pretty smart though, being disabled she knew that with social security and disability that they don't collect money.

@pagetolv03 She realized it right of the bat. even after brain surgery that woman can tell a scam from something legit!

So many people still fall for scams,thanks for the reminder even if im not from there im sure people in the states will read it, im not directly affected but such posts reminds me to keep my eyes open.

Letters can be a scam but not always. I have worked for CPAs & they can tell whether an IRS letter is real or if it's a scam.
