Such relief after the doctor appointment!

I usually see my primary care physician every 6 months. He needs to monitor my blood glucose level and to make sure that my medications aren't causing any problems. So, today was the day.
I've been worried about my health because of all the stress I've been under. But my worries were for nothing. My blood sugar is at a perfect level and everything else is very good. He said that, for all I've gone through in the last year and a half, he's amazed at how well I've managed to take care of myself. I have to say that I'm pretty surprised. If I can do this well under stress, I know I can do a lot better with most of the stress behind me!
So now I'm back home and relaxing. I got a little scare when I returned to my apartment and found a note on my doorknob letting me know that the maintenance guy was here while I was gone. He came to fix my bedroom closet doors. I was so scared that my cat might have gotten out. But no, she was hiding in the love seat and when I came in, I saw her little face peeking out! lol When she saw that it was me, she came running and I immediately gave her treats for being such a good girl. :)
How's your day going?

I actually ate very healthy tonight and that's pretty rare since I love having a treat when I'm in a happy mood. But I'll be making some home made pizza tomorrow so that will definitely be a treat! :)

Yay!!!! Great that you are doing so well Claudia!
We have had people in our home doing work when we were not there. I asked the landlord if the cats got out. He said he wasn't sure. Um okay. Well at the time it was freezing outside. He knew we had cats. Thankfully they didn't get out. They were curled up in a ball basking in the sun.
Nice to see your kitty managed to find a safe harbour too.

@CRK109 Do you have a note posted on your door to be aware of the cat, not to let her out?

I had asked the maintenance guy once before if he could wait for me to come home before coming in because of my cat. But I also know he's very busy in this building. Thankfully, everything is okay so I won't worry about that any more. As long as she knows to run and hide I don't have to worry about him coming in to do work. :) I'm so glad your cats were okay, too! xoxo

Well, as I told the doctor, with the moving and all, my life has had enough stress for a lifetime and I didn't know if that adversely affected my health. Thankfully, it has not, so I can keep doing what I've been doing and try to add more healthy habits as I go along. :)

@CRK109 i couldn't leave the house all day (waitin' fer the neighbor who ne'er showed), but'd go out'n holler fer her off/on all day. when the gal's flight'd left'n i knew she'd not be stoppin' by, i went out huntin' her. no sign. the hubs joined me'n searchin' fer her (guilt, no doubt) 'n we'd both given'p hope by nightfall.
then, somethin' jest told me she was near 'bout 9:30pm. i went'n the porch'n called her 'n she came hollerin' 'n a runnin', bless her heart. 'fter i checked her out to make certain she was alright, she ate 'n then went to bed, lol. sigh...too much 'xcitement fer this ol' gal!
i'm glad'jer done worryin', if'n only fer a short while :D

@crazyhorseladycx oh I'm so glad she's back! I would have been pretty sick with worry, but that's just how I am. My cat is all I have, after all. :)

She's learned that she can go and hide and only come out when I get home. She trusts me with her life and she's also learned that I reward her for her great behavior! I thank God for this recliner. She's got a perfect place to hide where no one would ever think to look for her! :) (plus she can peek out and see who's here!) :)

Relax more and try to detoxify your body and positivise your thoughts and emotions. Start meditating at least 24minutes a day. This will definitely help to regulate your blood sugar level along with your medications. I am also a doctor and i too practice all of these. Thanks for the post.

I have such problems meditating. But I will keep trying. My mind always seems to be racing around, which is why I have so much trouble sleeping. I will try again in a little while to quiet myself down and meditate for a while. Thank you.

My doctor was so happy with my A1C and that takes a huge worry off my mind. I know that I can go forward and eat healthy and move around a little more. Until my application to the YMCA is accepted, I'm going to find some exercises on youtube that I can do in a chair. At least that will be something! :)

Getting good news from the doctor certainly is wonderful and I'm sure it made you feel so much better. I'm happy your little kitty didn't escape while the maintenance people were there.

Been a great one. Just that I'm hungry and sleepy and I still have few more hours.
