Too much water that we drink

How much water should we drink a day? Many people say that we should drink at least 8 glasses a day. Others say that it depends on your weight. Those who weigh more, need to drink more than 8 glasses, and those who are thin should not drink that much. If we drink too much water, this will cause the kidneys to work harder. This is why an expert say that fasting will put your kidney at rest.

I have read in a health magazine that 8 glasses doesn't actually mean we should drink 8 glasses, In taking account of the total amount of water we should consider the amount of water we get from the food we eat as well, like fruits with water content, soup too.

Yes. I read it too. Whether or not we have enough water, you can see it from the color of urine. If it is dark brown, it indicates that the water is insufficent.

I drink several glasses of water a every day, and many drink a coffee and tea.

Drinking coffee is counted but kidneys may work harder processing it.

I fully agree with the comment left by @owlwings. It is very true that people anyway tend to drink too little.

I am just now forcing myself to drink only water, coffee or tea, no fake sweetened diet drinks, is not an easy habit to break but already I do feel better
