Hot, Interesting, Top Rated or Other?

When I first signed up for myLot, searching the site wasn't easy for me so I developed a sort of convoluted goofy methodology for finding discussions of interest to me.
But then the myLot Admin folks made changes and now there's the “Explore” drop down box and you can choose Hot, Interesting or Top Rated, Recent and New User Discussions.
It's great only… now I can't decide on the “order”.
Sorry. There has to be a method to my madness.
It must be logical.
When you use the Explore feature, which type of discussion do you pick to read first? Hot, Interesting, Top Rated or Other?
Do you even use the Explore feature?
Discussions. Discussions. Decisions. Decisions.
This is really over-working my over-analytical peanut-sized brain.
Pick the search engine of your choice – Google, YAHOO, Bing, etc. and do a generic search for myLot discussion that might interest you. For...

Return courtesy and respect. OK! Let me write that down. Just kidding.
I have my account set up so that I receive Notifications via eMail when members leave comments or have started following me. I've been told that not everyone sets up their account to receive Notifications. Don't know why not? It's great!

I start under the "Follows" button and look at my "followers" discussions, then later I might check the other buttons.

Yes, I use the "explore" feature and whenever I log in to MyLot, the first category I look at is "interesting discussions", then I usually continue with "recent" and "new user" categories. I can't say that I start with it for a particular reason, I guess that's just a habit I formed while using this great site. I generally check the hot discussions in the end, probably because I like to save the best for last.

I'm trying to get into a better myLotting routine. Signing in more regularly and interacting more. But I don't want to feel like I'm fumbling in the dark. This site is one of the few sites where I don't talk into a void. I actually look forward to speaking to my fellow humans. Sounds like you've developed a very good work habit. Thanks!

Anybody try the “Discussions w/ No Response”? I have and I sort of understand why nobody responds to them.

I need some kind of order because this is a busy community. It's a lot going on here! I don't want to miss anything!

The hot is not so hot eh? That's funny. So much for artificial intelligence. But thanks for your insight.

I check all of them and choose the discussions that interest me. Then I post a discussion. Well, I am new here and still finding my way. @cmoneyspinner, it´s nice to see you here.
