What would you say is the okay house temperature? I think most of you know I live in a shared out, I housemates which to be fair I don’t really see much of, which is great. Last weekend I went over to my kids for a few days and got back home on the Sunday to a cold house, the landlady who also lives in the house had turned off the heating, not happy. Anyway after about two days with no heating on and it freezing cold outside we got the heating back on, however, it’s on very minimum. As you all know I dislike the cold, I can’t deal with cold weather, Yes I love hot weather, hotter the better, that is why I’m in the wrong country. What would you say is an okay house temperature?

It depends what time of year it is. When it's cold outside I keep it at 75 degrees inside. When it's really hot outside like today I keep it on 73 degrees. =) I hate the heat so we can switch! Lol.

It's a little too cold for me, need someone to cuddle up too, to keep warm. No, it's been a little too cold here the weather outside not been good, it's not even reached 50F this week during the day time and is currently 39F, they have forecast snow on the moors just outside of Plymouth and this evening we had hailstones. It's just been a very cold wind coming off the Atlantic sea.

For me, 10°C (50°F) is the ideal at night; however, during the day, I prefer 22°C (72°F). Not to hot nor too cold in my region!

My husband and I find 63F comfortable. We have it set at 66F to accommodate my father. I find it too warm most of the time.

I think we set the air-conditioning to 23 or 24C (73 to 75F roughly) when we need to warm up the lounge. And I think in the car we have the temperature at around the same or a bit less.

It depends on the individual persons in the house as some here want it to be 72 to 75 and others want it 68 to 70 degrees (and also the season)

For me 15 is ok but funnily enough I looked it up the other day and I think the best temp is 21 but that's too hot for me. 24 is the highest it should be apparently and actually below 15 you can get ill.

Funny you say that you looked it up the other day, so did I, the current temperature is set to 16C which I think is too cold. My room doesn't get the sun when we get the sun that is.

@kevin1877uk 16 would be fine for me. Currently my house is 15 and that's with no heating. We just got a load of insulation put in which seems to have worked. Some feel the cold more than others. I prefer being cold to being hot.

I can bare 18C if I'm wearing my jumper. I never warm the house just so I can wear less clothes.
