Procrastination Station!

I am once again in a procrastination rut. I am doing everything, but what i am supposed to be doing! I wish I didn't do this often, but I do. I am trying to change that and I have for the most part by giving myself a reward for getting things done. One example is that if I complete all of my workouts and stick to my diet for a week straight i earn a cheat treat. I don't overdo it though because it would defeat my progress, but it works. Another example is that if I get all of my work done for my class and do my best especially with this research report, I get to enjoy my vacation visiting family up in Philadelphia. I am going to see them anyway, but with this mind set I feel more motivated to get things done. How often do you procrastinate? What do you do to keep yourself from procrastinating? How do you stop yourself from procrastinating if you already started doing it?

If I have a heap of things to do I pick three and just do them. Then later I'll take another three. Once I've done anything at all the rest seems easier. I don't why this is but it works for me.

I have never found the "secret formula" to get out of the habit of always postponing things to do. Can't help you there, sorry.

I've done that with the test for video captioning. I could've saved time if I just went on with it because I still got rejected in the end.

I am a champion at procrastinating. There are certain things I have to do, like showing up at my part time job. I know I can't procrastinate there. I know I have to do things on the computer or I won't earn anything. I am trying to do better. Sometimes doing something is easier than not doing it. Like doing dishes is easier than trying to find something clean to eat with.

When it comes to work & chores, I don't procrastinate. I do everything ahead of time so that they'll be done before the deadline and that would mean, I could start doing other tasks. I'm impatient when it comes to results that's why I don't delay tasks.
