Ditching Bitlanders

After much consideration and trying it out for a week I have decided not to continue using Bitlanders. The amount of writing needed to gain even a few cents there is just not worth it and so much content there is plagiarized that it isn’t worth reading. Videos there are just cribbed off Youtube without acknowledgement of source. Short blog options, which can’t be longer than 160 characters, in a shameless rip-off of Twitter’s 140 character arrangement are often longer than full length blogs where many literally just say’ Hi’, and add a photo of sunflowers.
I am happy to read other people’s content but what there is on Bitlanders is mostly vacuous. I have no desire to continue wasting precious time clicking on pages of virtually nothing.
I’ll leave my pages live there to allow me to look in every now and then to see if anything improves.

I gave it up too because it is not user-friendly! Had a hard time posting photos and the earning was too slow! Really time-consuming.

@hereandthere The old Mylot is very easy to understand.
It is based on the length of each discussion, comment or response.
You can see from the old threads that we write really long when we want to reply.
Some people even write 400 words or more in a single comment or discussion.

@scheng1 but we don't know the earning algorithm here, too, even back in the old mylot

I have been there and I think I joined there just this April when @PinayAko started a discussion about Bitlanders. She has been very active there. I have seen many Filipinos there like me too. As far as I know, writing blogs worth 1000 word is a must in Bitlanders. It must have images and videos on it too. Once you wrote your blog, you have to submit it for review and it will require you 10 gems. I haven't tried to write a blog there yet as I just use my phone online and it is really difficult to write by phone.

but have you noticed what he was talking about - "So much content there is plagiarized that it isn’t worth reading. Videos there are just cribbed off Youtube without acknowledgement of source?"

@scheng1 the "short blog options" he mentioned that's only 160 characters sound more like status updates

@hereandthere Yes, the list of leader board shows many users from Pakistan.
Perhaps they do not learn about giving credits to the proper sources.
I think Bitlanders need a major cleanup.

@scheng1 how many articles have you submitted there? how many words per article? do you use keywords? maybe you need to promote them through social media?

so you're at bitlanders, too? have you noticed the plagiarized content also and the lack of video acknowledgment that he noticed there?

I was a member of Bitlanders or rather still am. But I was never able to figure out how you earn. The site itself is kind of an eye sore. Thats all I know. Maybe you are better off just coming here. At leastit is enjoyable cents youll be earnings :-)

@maezee I still am a member as not closing my account - just not revisiting it for the forseeable future

Sorry to hear this. I am a happy bitLanders user. I earn a lot better there than Bubblews before. All we have to do is write 1,000 or more word article there and support it with videos and pictures, links, proper tagging and submit for review. 5/5 star rated contents earn the most and not those spammers.
