New coffee maker

Well, after years, if not a decade, of not having a coffee maker, my husband bought us a Keurig. He bought it for me as a birthday present, as I had mentioned it. Although he bought it as a gift, I do see him enjoying it as much as I will, and this is coming from the guy who never drank coffee until recently. I'll admit that it'll be nice to have some coffee at home, and not have to go out to get one. Yes, I'll have to buy some at the grocery store, but I don't always have to go to the coffee shop for a coffee. It'll be nice. It was really nice of him to get it. It'll also be nice to have that extra something to offer guests when they come over.

My sister has a Keurig, it's very nice but I like my coffee hotter than her's seems to get it.

We all have different tastes and preference. The Keurig isn't for everyone.

My husband wasn't a coffee drinker either until recently. I'm glad your husband is enjoying his keurig.

@farbuoloxusy some people just don't drink coffee. It's not for everyone. That's fine. You never know what will happen.

@dodo19 I cannot even stand the smell but the fad of drinking coffee makes me want to try it from time to time still no luck!

Having a coffee maker is always a must in every house. For me, it would be one of the most wanted pieces of kitchen equipment, since I like to drink coffee at all times!

@dodo19 Yeah, especially when you live in an area where cold weather is permanent. I can drink coffee anytime. It´s nice habit to drink coffee!

Great to know he had a birthday present for you. Sometimes our husband seems to be unfair. Yes, they buy us gifts but gifts that everyone in the house enjoyed using it. If they buy something as birthday gift for us, a diamond ring or an iPhone is best for us to use personally, not sharing with anyone else. Just my thoughts. For my husband bought me a flat screen tv on our anniversary.

Yeah, I can understand your point. It is nice if its a gift that we personally can enjoy. Although I can't complain too much about the gifts he's given me.

@dodo19 yeah, I know, and same with me I never complained when my husband gave me the TV because like your coffee maker, my flat screen was expensive too. Hahaha

Glad your husband bought you a coffee maker and I am sure it was as much for him as you. Enjoy. I don't drink a lot of coffee so look forward to going to TH. I was cleaning my kitchen yesterday and dropped my little coffee pot on the floor and broke the carafe. I haven' t used it very much so will do without one for awhile.

It'll be nice to enjoy the coffee at home and not always have to go to TH for coffee. Now that we have it we may drink coffee more often, but we'll see. Hopefully you're able to replace your carafe.

@dodo19 I probably won't bother. If I want coffee at home, I prefer instant. And I don't have company very often.

That sounds good! I always dreamed of making coffee at home too. It's so nice to see your husband enjoy drinking the coffee with the coffee maker as he didn't drink coffee. So, that coffee maker must be really good, and you must have made really great coffee at home for him.

That's a very thoughtful gift. In fact I almost will not buy coffee outside, I like to make my own coffee. It is easier to make a professional coffee with a nice coffee maker.

I could not live without a coffee maker, in fact I have two different, one to make the Italian espresso and another for the American coffee.

I'm actually really happy to have it. I'm happy I can now have coffee from home. I don't want to get rid of it.

I love our Keurigs. We have one here and one in Florida. We've accumulated many coffee pots over the years, but love no cleanup with the Keurigs.

My daughter has one, because she and her husband get up at different times. Making a pot of coffee is wasteful for them. For my husband and I, we drink a pot easily between us, so a Keurig would be expensive and impractical for us.

It makes sense. Although you can also get a pot for the Keurig. The Keurig that we have we can make individual cups, as well a pot of coffee. Something to think about.

Oh I couldn't go without my coffee maker. I love the thing. I drink coffee so much. I couldn't afford a Keurig. My cousin might be giving me is mini one if he gets a full size one, but I am not sure when that will be. That would be lovely if he does.

It is true that the keurig is expensive. Hopefully your cousin gives you his soon so you can enjoy it.

My friend bought the same for his mom & sister. Like your husband, his mom & sister have been enjoying their coffee since they started using Keurig.

We've only had a cup so far, and we're both enjoying it. Hopefully your friend's sister and mom continue to like it.
