Parrot Chaos.

When I got a bird I thought that it would be a difficult but rewarding experience that I would grow to love. I did not take into account that my other pets might take him as a threat. Which occasionally happens. Jasper will flap and yell for his treats and make Jackson go into a fit and bark.
I love my bird and my dog and the cats. I even love the rat and the bunny, but Jasper was our newest addition. He was rescued and I paid for him, ready to spoil the senegal parrot. I got bit the very first day. He's missing toes and mean as anything, but he loves his attention.
He also loves his bells... Rings them from the moment after his breakfast to at night when he gets his snap pea and orange section. And if he doesn't ring it then he is meowing, laughing, yelling, or climbing circles around in his cage. Not a second of silence. Today he even managed to figure out how to open his food door and escaped.
Pretty sure I'm not the only person out there with an unruly pet. Right?

When we got our bird the lady gave us some history on him and apparently he was bought hand fed and tame, but neglected to the point where it didn't matter. When he does escape he loves to charge the dog though. I'm sorry your parrot's also been acting out.

first thing birds are not pet animals like dog and cat. its a very natural thing whatever bird you keep if they get chance they will run away. i think we don't keep them behind the cage becoz birds are symbol of freedom.

He gets his time out. And I'm fully aware he's not like a cat or a dog, but the cage is for his own safety. There's a system in the house. He is my pet and he gets proper care.
