I have made quite a bit of money from various writing sites. You need to be a good writer and be willing to invest some time up front before it begins to pay off. In that regard it is a leap of faith. I was a single mom for 12 years, so I understand where you are coming from. Good luck!

@kirstymay Maybe you could try making things to sell on etsy, or sell items on ebay. There are other sales sites as well. Or even Craigslist.

I recently became a single mum too and working online is the online way I can pay bills while raising my little one. I begun writing a month ago though it has not been easy as my baby is still very dependent on me. I would love to do more writing but at the moment it may not be possible. However, I try to do the little I can when I get a chance. If you are willing to write, you could try iwriter. I have a preference for this because there is no bidding. You identify and pick the topic that you are able to write and as soon as your work is approved, you are paid. You could also try doing transcription and surveys. I have not succeeded in finding a reliable survey site though. Transcription pays well but due to my time schedule I am also not able to commit to this for now. Affiliate marketing is another option.

It is hard. There is many places to earn a few bucks hear and there, but cash out thresholds and how long it takes to get paid makes one really frustrated. Slicethepie is pretty decent, but not as good as used to be. They cut their rates and so many people use the site now so there is hardly ever any songs to review. It is only 10 dollars to cash out, which I used to be able to get in a 2 days, but most days now I am lucky to get 50 cents.
You could also try applying to leap force, That is like a regular job though and you have to take a test. So many people on that now they do not get back with most people who fill out their application process.

@kirstymay Most things online to make extra cash is not really worth the amount of time you put into it. Maybe it is better just to have two jobs, but I do not get along with people much and this keeps me out of trouble.

It's hard to find an online site that pays much . It is still better to have a real job so it can sustain your living .
I come here for extra money , but realized it's not primarily for the money now that i am here but for the friends i earned here .

I'm currently with Humanatic. If you are good in listening to calls, you can make money out of it.

@miyaford It's ok. I've dropped below 80% from there before. Now I'm on 90% again. Just focus in one category for a bit to get used to it.

I joined with them and I was making mistakes on the calls. My rating dropped down to 88%. That rating drop scared me so I took a break from it. How well do you do on the calls? And do they throw trick calls in or am I looking to much into the calls?

I have tried countless times myself. I have invested money in a headset, a phone, and updated my desktop in top shape condition. I have invested money only to still have no luck with a real, money-making, at-home job. I have been researching and signing up for newsletters and everything. It has got to the point that I would even take a telemarketing job but it can't be commission based. I am so ready to jump right in but all I run across is junk. Well I haven't given up yet and you shouldn't either. If I run across something I will let you know and can you do the same for me. I hope we find something and find it soon. Good luck.
