pregnancy problem

May 2, 2016 4:04pm CST
Through my first pregnancy I was diagnosed with epilepsy (due to the pregnancy) afterwards I had scans and e.e.g, but my results came back normal but I'm still having seizures. They diagnosed me with epilepsy still because they couldn't figure out what else could be wrong. Now I can't even have a licence till my seizures are under control. Has any one else had a issue similar?

That sounds like a very frustrating situation. I hope they figure it out soon and get it under control so you can start driving again!

My friend had this issue, and has had epilespy for many years. Many times situations trigger it and then a diagnoses happens.

Have they checked your magnesium levels? Low magnesium can cause seizures.

Sorry that you are going through this issue. I haven't dealt with it and don't know of anyone who has. Prayers the doctors can help you so you can have your license back. Have a blessed day

Both of my daughters I have living with me now have epilepsy. It can sometimes take a while to find the right medication to control the seizures. I'm sure it is terrible to lose your driver's license though. I hope you find the right medicine quickly.

Sorry to hear that maybe you can carpool with someone else to get to and from work and maybe go to run errands with friends when they do and it will also allow for you guys to spend time together. I hope that you find out what s causing them and get them under control.

Epilepsy Awareness Day here recently had people wearing something purple... I know less about it than I should, I guess. I hope you find a way to manage your episodes if not removing them altogether.
