My least favourite song... Hmmm, let me think. Ok, there are two. Please don't hate me, but I feel sick whenever I hear "What a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong or John Lennon's "Imagine". It's not like I don't like positive things, but those are so boring and naive that I cannot stand them.

That's nice to pick 30 songs from memory.

@shshiju No, unfortunately, I cannot sing at all. Although I like to do it, the only person who can listen is my poor husband. :D What about you?

@Adzika -- I totally concur with "Imagine," although it wouldn't make the top 10 worst songs from me. I certainly don't like it. I was always particularly incensed by some multi-millionaire who lived at one of the most exclusive, expensive addresses in Manhattan telling the people who made him a multi-millionaire to "imagine no possessions."

@FourWalls I've never thought about this that way, I just always thought that the lyrics are a bit too naive and annoying because of that. You have a point, though.

I know that I'm in a minority. There's only one person I know that shares my view on those songs. :)

Did you dislike them when they first came out?

I wasn't in this world yet when they came out. ;) But I didn't like them when I've heard them for the first time. To be honest, I was never a fan of Louis Armstrong voice, is too sharp for me (as well as Tom Waits). I appreciate them, though. And I loved The Beatles, but I remember when I heard "Imagine" for the first time I wasn't impressed. Maybe I was too young back then but I didn't grow up to this song yet. :D Do you like them?

@Adzika I do like them. But everyone has their opinion. Also, a song isn't just about the melody. The lyrics are just as important. Take those two songs, and just read the lyrics without the music. You may have a different outlook. Yet I do get what you mean, for I don't like certain songs whether it's the melody or the lyrics.

@theBlock I didn't like lyrics of Imagine much, although my friend used them in a discussion recently and I saw them in an entirely different light - at this point, they resonated with me. But "What a wonderful world" sounds just so, so kitsch for me. But still, I appreciate the song.
