I have been getting some awesome stories from this page on facebook. I love reading stories. I love writing stories too.
That reminds me I have several chapters pending on two of my stories. I should be working on that. But no, here I am.
I guess, I should push myself to write and finish the pending chapters.
Came upon this today. Had to share it here:
There was a man who made living selling balloons at a fair. He had all colors of balloons Including red, yellow, green.
Whenever business was slow, he would release a helium filled balloons into the air and when the children saw it go up, they all wanted to buy one.
They would come up to him, buy a balloon and his sales would go up again. He continues this process all day.
One day, he felt something tugging his jacket. He turned around and saw a little boy who asked,” If you release a black balloon, would that also fly?” Moved by the boy’s concern, the man replied with empathy.” Son, it is not the Color of the balloon, it is what inside that makes it go up.”
The same thing applies to our lives. It is what is inside that counts. The thing inside of us that makes is go up is our attitude....

@Daljinder Right. But unfortunately we see the outside first. The packaging so to speak. But, even if someone is beautiful, if they are ugly inside they turn ugly outside.

What a lovely story!
Thanks a lot for sharing it.
It is so true that our attitude defines us and it makes our vital characteristics.
@Butchcass4 Thanx for suggesting me this post!

@Ishani08 Thank you! Outer beauty and characteristics do not define us. It's our attitude and behavior that does, yea!

Thank you so much for sharing that heart touching story. It's so true that the thing inside us, which I call the spirit of God Almighty is what makes up our right attitudes. Ofcourse, if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then you wouldn't have God's spirit within you. 1 John 1:9 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish (got to hell) but have eternal life. Do you believe in Jesus? Then you have eternal life and that makes you my brother or sister in Christ.

@Butchcass4 The goodness inside is what makes our right attitudes.
I do believe in Jesus! But I am not a Christian.

@Daljinder Your are so right. We could all use, at times, taking a minute, and thinking about how others perceive our attitudes.

@beaniefanatic13 Our attitudes I think is what leave impressions on others and define how they perceive us.

A simple story but a good reminder nonetheless. I myself should be thinking positively and not lose too much sleep on my finances. I'm working mostly on writing and with these gigs, they would help me keep a good practice everyday posting in forums. Baby steps are always the hardest but I must not let "hard" daunt me.
