A purchase at a Goodwill store in my banks' recent transactions listed an unusual name.

In the list of recent transactions by my bank from recent payments, one which included Goodwill store, indicated over the phone using the automated banking system indicated that the transaction from goodwill was easy pass or e-z pass. Funny thing. I called the bank and they told me not to worry about this but did not offer a reason why Goodwill was not the name of the purchase transaction and I called Goodwill and no one there knew what EZ PASS is. I researched this online and found that the only listing in Google search about EZ pass is that this is an automated system for toll roads and toll bridges that debits accounts by scanning the cars as they go by. I do not take toll roads or bridges where I am and there were no redundancies in the same amount of the purchase I made at the Goodwill store. This is a mystery I am still waiting to solve. I handed my chip debit card to the cashier and she scanned it and returned it to me with two receipts in the amount of 2 dolalrs and 15 cents. The 2 dollars and 15 cents were debited to easy pass not goodwill and this is what my main concern is.

Reading this reminded me of something odd that happened to my husband and I a couple of years ago. We got a bill for around 3 to 5 dollars from a toll road in Florida that we had never ever driven on!! We called the number to dispute this charge and say how we had never driven on it and they accepted that and told us it must have been some glitch in the system. It was So Odd and Weird!

So far I haven't heard back from the folks at Goodwill but my wife's latest purchases at that store also are said to be from EZ PASS or easy pass, as this information is made verbally by electronic voice over the bank phone service.

I would want to find out how easy pass became involved in this buying at goodwill.

@Marcyaz I am still waiting for them to contact me but doubt they ever will. It's as if they don't care.

I prefer shopping at a local Salvation Army myself. We sometimes shop at both stores but Salvation army has furniture and more to offer us.
