Wild Fire

My heart goes out this morning to the people who live in Fort McMurray, Alberta and the surrounding area. A mass evacuation is taking place and many homes and buildings in the area have already been destroyed by fire.
There were reports on the news this morning of men fighting the fire in some areas, even though their own homes had already been destroyed. There have been reports of people being caught in a traffic jam as the fire came dangerously close to them. In one place the flames jumped a river, putting more areas in danger.
Will you join me in prayer today, that the Lord will send rain, and that He will be with each of those people there who have had to flee their homes, not being able to take much with them. What a terrible ordeal to face.

This is definitely a dreadful situation. I hope and pray they get it under control soon.

@AnneEJ The fuel situation sounds like a logistical nightmare. There will be a lot to sort out even after the fires are extinguished.

@Marty1 When I say "logistical," in this case, I mean the organization and management of a large group of people. Specifically, I was thinking about how emergency service people and local government officials dealt with the mass of people on the roads with their cars breaking down and everything. That, to me, was the nightmare part. Maybe "headache" would have been a better word.
