So I'm in one and my girlfriends Nana dislikes by me because she thinks it is wrong. However I don't see the reason behind it being wrong.

Just give Nana some time. She may have some preconceived notions about you based on your race/nationality. When she sees how well you treat your girlfriend and being respectful then maybe she will change her mind about you My parents kind of did the same thing with my sisters husband. They love him like a son now.

I can see culture possibly being an issue, though that can be worked out. But as to "race"? I've always hated that term. We are all one race: human. Now if you'd started a relationship with an emu or a camel or a raccoon, then I could see why there'd be problems. If your Nana is a Bible-believer, you can remind her that we all originally came from one man and one woman and find the scripture to back up those facts. You could even science it up and find some secular studies that prove the same thing. Seems I remember reading about a "Mitochondrial Eve" being "discovered" some time back.

Im sorry they feel that way. My sister used to be very judgmental of people having interracial relationship. But i'm sure she changed her mind about it. I have nothing against those couple. They're just in love and nothing is wrong with that at all.

in cases with old people like grandparents or great grandparents, i don't take the prejudices to heart because it is what they grew up with and learned as children themselves. As long as their future generations like today are not following those norms in this day and age then I say let it be
