SAYING NO MAKES YOU A BAD PERSON?

I say yes A LOT! Probably more than I really WANT to say.And the times I do say no I cannot say it unapologetically. I end up feeling guilty about it.The people who know me even a little use this weakness of mine to their advantage. Now that I try to say no, they keep on persisting and ultimately I surrender.
I want to help people but is it fair to do it at the cost of your interest? Which gives rise to a dilemma DOES PUTTING YOUR INTEREST ABOVE THE INTEREST OF OTHERS MAKES YOU SELFISH?
Also saying no under genuine circumstance is considered acceptable.But what if I say no to something just because I DON'T WANT TO? Is it still acceptable? DOES IT MAKES YOU A BAD PERSON?

Then that makes me a bad person to. But this is my life and nobody should dictate what I should do as long as I don't step on their rights or encroach in their property.

Helping others is what we should do and if we can then we should but if it's too much then saying no is the right thing to do. No one person can and should try to help everyone. It's not possible. People shouldn't expect a person to try to do it all. So if saying no is what one has to do then that's what they have to do.

Yes you are right! Putting yourself in jeopardy while trying to help others isn't really helping you in any way.

I often say NO and I don't consider myself bad. Before I could even help others, I must help myself first. I'm not under any obligation to please people.

Saying no does not make you a bad person. Only you know what you are capable of handling without it interfering in your own life.

I do feel that I feel obligated to give someone a solid reason as to why I said no. And if I don't have one and yet I decline them it makes me feel guilty.

I beleive it`s our right to say no, it does not mean much saying yes and not honour that.Say no right away so the other party can look for alternatives.
I do feel taken advantage of because im not always strong enough to say no,there are times i know i should say no but the feeling of guilt make me say yes.,

When I say NO, it's really No.
Being guilty about saying no depends on how you did it and to whom you said it.
Personally, I feel bad after saying no if my children asks me to buy something important for them and then I did not because I feel it's too expensive.
It's difficult for me to say no, if it's my brother or sisters borrowing certain amount from me.My conscience will bother me for that.

I don't tend to say if the need to is genuine but if it is not reasonable it pinches my conscience to say yes but still I do. But I have trying to say no to things now.
