In the world today, education has became more important than ever before, and in most developed and some developing countries, education is available to most of the population. However in many countries, including developed countries such as U.S.A. or Canada, a tuition fee is still charged for Universities. I think University education should be free because the people will contribute back to the country with their education. Now before you say it would mess up the education system, France and Germany have been providing free university education for years, they're a good example for the rest of the world to follow. Any thoughts?

What a great concept! I think that a free university education would be an incentive to a lot of people who otherwise couldn't go to college. Yes, there are grants and special student loans to help pay for education, but what happens if the student has to spend 15 years of work in order to pay for that same education? Free education also wouldn't mean that the entire population would be rushing right down to get a degree, not everyone wants to learn more. It would be a wonderful option though for those who would like to enhance their skills to obtain better employment.

No worries! It was nice to see the question which obviously had some thought behind it!
