I don't know about you but I fry my bratwurst.

If you are into home cooked sausage for your dinner fare, you need go no further than the frying pan.
Yep. If you take brats and boil them they lose some of their flavor. You see, the bratwurst, like any other sausage has spices inside that can be very tasty if you take time to slow cook it in a fry pan.
I am having this excellent form of German type cuisine with fries that are not from France, but just as good as any from New York City.
I don't know anything better than a flavorful bratwurst sausage except of course with my wife who is good company. And to add more to the occasion a good movie to watch while indulging in this temptingly good meal I am about to have.
Some say kraut makes it better but I think it's either the new potatoes and kraut together so since we are having French fries I would have to pass on the kraut although in an of itself, quite sour, it is one way of making cabbage better than buttered and boiled. Some people I know actually will not touch anything made from cabbage but I always have coleslaw with my fish and chips. Doesn't everyone?

Oh yea. I forgot to mention that. Yes. oil makes it crisp and seals in the flavors.

I like them and have cooked them both ways in the past, boiled and fried in a skillet.

They can be a bit overwhelming though. I find that just one bratwust fills me and eating two is over doing it a bit.

The kind we make at home is creamier than what they have at fast food sites but it is always tasty and tangy and goes good with fish and chips or fish and fries. lol

I fry them also. They taste so much better that way. Enjoy your meal. I have coleslaw with my fish too. My husband is not a fan of cabbage at all..
