Public transport, or at least ACCESS to public transport is a really nice thing.
We live in a very rural area and you can get nowhere if you don't drive.
It would be nice to at least have a public bus, but the numbers just don't justify the cost.

I have not had a car for years and public transport here is very convenient that i don't miss not having a car.The only time i wish i had a car is when i go shopping in out of the way stores or when i need to shop for something big otherwise im very fine with public transport.
Having said that, prices are way too high here, 1-way ticket with a local bus cost $4.40 which i find quite high.I have a bus every 15 minutes and a train every 15 minutes.

I love taking public transport. I live in the city and they are accessible. Also, I get to save a lot.

I have not travel to Georgia, but in fact,I believe that I want to live in a small town which like you lived in,so that I can have my own house, garden and cars(In my country, when we buy a house,we can only live 70years,when 70 years will past, our own house will be recovered by the government.)

I think it depends what country you're living in. In the Philippines, the public transport is so bad that it's unpredictable to know the time you will get to your destination. The trains are late most of the time and sometimes will just stop in the middle of railways which I experienced, except for the PNR which is super old but the station's locations are very dangerous. The traffic is very bad and there are only limited cities who strictly implement the loading and unloading. I went for a trip to Japan and I was surprised how organized and connected their public transport is. It may be confusing at first, but at least I always arrive at my expected time. So I prefer public transport in Japan because I was a tourist at the time and private car here in the Philippines.
