Good Salary but Tasteless Job.

May 6, 2016 11:47am CST
Hi all, I am working at a place that I don't enjoy even a little bit but earning some really handsome bucks. What do you say, Should I quit my job and work in my own field or I should let it happen as is going ? What would you have done if you have to choose between good salary and very boring, tasteless job ? Let me know as I have to make a decision.

I think I would, if I were young and did not have a lot of responsibility, is to set a time limit, like three years, for the tasteless job. I would work very hard, save every bit of money that I could, then strike off on my own either to find another job or create one. I would try to save up my funding first.

In the end it is your decision. If you can afford to switch jobs then do it, and be happy.

And don't you believe the phase "you must give it a chance once" ? I think I should try once and God knows the better half.

Is there work in your field? Better the job you have, than the dream you do not. It's one thing to dream, it's another to pay the bills.

Hy. in my opinion i thinck that if you don't have any obligations, if no one depends on you, and if you are free then you should follow your dream, you should loock for something you enjoy, something you like to do. Money...are goof of course but to go at work sad or stressed is not good and not worth all money in the world.

I think you should go for the job you desire or comfortable to work with. After all, what's the point of being rich if you're not happy.

if you're concern about your career, they you should go for that. if you hone your career, money will follow in increasing rate. you will have no satisfaction in your life if you continue doing what you don't want.

Before you make any decisions, you should weigh the pros and cons of the job, and have a plan for both possible paths. Think of practicality of both choices, the schedule that comes with an alternative, the pay, the environment, your skills that can be used, the potential advantages, etc. It's important to evaluate each and every choice, especially a HUGE one like this that can effect several things, such as income, living standard or conditions, etc.
