I was discussing Episode VII of the Star Wars Saga with a teacher of mine, who had seen it for the first time after it's been released for months. You know, because he wanted to see it in blu-ray first?
Anyways, for some reason, he believes that the movie wasn't good at all, which was shocking because I actually enjoyed it. He criticized it for it basically being a rehash of the old episodes, which I actually enjoyed due to the ability to tie the new with the old, the past with the present and future.
He even said that the PREQUELS were better than VII! Any opinions?

all i can say is that all star wars movies are great. I love VII without having to compare it to the other episodes.

I haven't seen it so I can't critique it but Star Wars is quite popular so it can't be that bad. What one may like another may not. Your teacher didn't like Star Wars Vll but that doesn't mean that one should avoid seeing a movie because one is displeased with the movie.
