Google Spam

I decided to set some Google alerts on my computer. I wanted to easily find articles about education. But I’ve removed them all. It seems Google thought I wanted spam. I’ve never had spam in the 20+ years I have had an email account.
But with the addition of Google alerts, my email account started receiving spam from all sorts of businesses. I was shocked. When I marked them as spam, I could see the domain from which they were sent. It was Google. Hmmm.
I’ll go back to finding the articles on my own. It sure beats getting spam. The Hawaiians can keep it for themselves.
Who sends you spam?

@Asylum Right, but that doesn't mean that I have to subject myself to it.

I use mine, especially to track my bills. I get reminders and paid notices this way. It makes my life much easier than it was in the past. That's why I do not appreciate anyone trying to sneak into it.

I put them both into the same category as you do the "edible" kind.

I don't look at my spam folder. I know I get it and lots of it and when I've gone there to look for posts that accidentally might have found their way there, I'm always shocked at what is sent to me. Anything from car dealers wanting to sell me a car to date sites
