On what date do you think you will get first inch of snow of winter season?

When do you think your area will see their first inch of accumulating snow this winter season, and where do you live? I live in Maryland in the US and think it will be sometime during the week between Christmas and New Year's here.

cold kitten - This kitten is one cool cat! He makes me cold.
I live in South Florida, so I don't feel there's any chance of us getting an inch of snow at any point this winter season.

I hear about Florida sometimes getting flurries (I'm guessing that's in the panhandle though), hs southern Florida ever gotten an inch of accumulating snow that you know of?

I live in MD as well, Eastern Shore here, and I'm thinking we'll get our first snow before Christmas. Probably the second week of December. Maybe sooner if the past couple days have been an example of the winter ahead....

past couple days have had highs in the upper 50's and low 60's, in this pattern we won't see snow for a long time. I pattern shift will happen late next week, but still think snow won't hit us until late December, eastern shore will probably get it later than we do in central MD

I dunno...yesterday was the first time in a few days we've had it nice here...Day before t-giving and t-giving day were cold windy and rainy. At one point I went out and thought it actually was snowing, but it was just a light miserable mist.

We already had our first substantial snowfall, sometime before Hallowe'en. It didn't stay for very long (I think a whole 24 hours it was here) but it's always a shock to see a blanket of white on the ground while people still have pumpkins and skeletons decorating their lawns.

I live in Alberta, Canada and we saw it weeks ago. It is -30 today. It really sucked having to walk to the store this morning.

yeah, sounds like definite change in climate. With the lake effect snows I'm not shocked Cleveland already go an accumulating inch. I'm guessing they got some back in October when Buffalo got that 2 foot snow storm.

Sounds like your guess for you all will be pretty accurate, with this strong cold front coming through this week which usually kicks off lake effect snow showers. But, here in Maryland it's not unusual for us to not see accumulating snow until January.
