It's the day after Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. Lots of people traditionally start their Christmas shopping on this day. It's called "black" because all the money spent helps make retailers profitable, or "in the black."

No, I avoid stores on this day, they're way too crowded. It's insane. There are plenty of days left to go shopping, and if anything the prices are likely to get lower as you get closer to the holidays.

i woke up too late to get in on the deals. i had to clean up after everyone left and didn't get to bed til 3 am.. i will hit it next year.

I did! I started at midnight and then hit walmart up around 5AM I got some pretty good deals. The crowds were crazy, but it was fun and it only happens once a year!
