I ended up in ER today

So I have been having issues with pain in the left side of my stomach and this morning when I woke up, I was puking and even more in pain. I was even having hot flashes. well, I ended up calling my mother in law since my husband is out of town and she took me to ER and took my son for me. I spent a little over 2 hours in the ER but they did x-rays and labs. They even gave me a small pain med in my IV but didn't help much.
Couple hours later the doctor came in and said because I strained my hamstring 2 weeks ago, it caused my large intestine to swell and cause constipation. Kind of sucks but now I am taking a laxative to help as required by the doctor. Hopefully I am better shortly. Prayers the pain goes soon. Now just to relax.

I am sorry you've had to go through that pain but I'm glad that you were able to figure out what it was an get medication for it.
I've had pain in my left side as well here lately. That side of my stomach is also more swollen, and I look anemic. I called out of work for tonight. I might could go in, but I don't want to risk it either.

An over the counter Laxative but in time I will be better.

@carebear29 That's good. IBS and gastrointestinal distress is sort of prevalent in this family amongst the ladies. I'm glad I haven't gotten that misfortune yet, but I imagine in time I will.

I hope so too. I just took 2 5mg Dulcolax an hour ago. Hopefully soon the pain will subside.

@carebear29 Aww :( I hope they work soon. You might want to try some canned pears for their juice, or some orange juice too.

Relax,take it easy and get well.Hope your MIL can take care of your son long enough so you have time to relax and recover.
BTW, i hate laxatives,just remember not to take a sleeping pill tonight,laxatives and sleeping pills and you might be doing unplanned washing tomorrow.Ask me lol
