Some see themselves this way and others see it as an object. Is there something that has you curious? Is there something that you want to learn? Open a book and see what you can find. I am always looking for written words to give me something or another. As you read, you see how thoughts are expressed, points are made, and just how creativity can take you somewhere. You can also play editor and make sure that every I was dotted and every t crossed. As we read the discussions on mylot, we are appreciative of those expressing themselves. Expressions that come in many forms. I believe that this can build confidence as we read and write.

Reading is great. I don't know what people did before there were a lot of books available. I remember when there was no internet or computers for most people. I think people got a lot more done and lived life more. What do you think?

Hi Jo Ann. I agree. The power of the written word is wonderful. I can remember as a child reading fables, Greek mythology, Dr. Suess and more. There are wonderful memories that are treasured because of books. My computer gets me more books sometimes. He he he. But, life is to be lived without being tied to machines.

@Talknpen I read some mythology but as a child, I was into horse and dog stories. I think I read them all. Then I discovered the Nancy Drew mystery books. I also read those to my kids and also the Little House books by Laura Ingalls.

@akalinus I am familiar with Nancy Drew, horse stories (Black Beauty) and Benji. Just Unforgettable. It is nice that you are passing these stories down to your children.
