Miseducation of Young Americans

I was born in Wisconsin but had relocated to New York due to family conditions changing as a kid. Now, I reside in the Big Apple and one year had to go back home and finish off school. The differences in the education system of both states is just outrageous. I blame the social conditions of one of the states that allow for such poor conduct and low education standards, simply because I feel as if there was no way for anyone from outside to feel welcomed in such an unfamiliar environment. Any thoughts about the different education systems in different states? Which do you think has the best, for those in the US? And people outside of the US, what are your thoughts about the education system in your country?

children here are taught to accept and absorb information rather than how to question and analyse

Same in New York, depending on the teacher and subject.

I think that the school system should be the same in all the states and provinces of Canada, but it is not unfortunately.

Same here. That way, we'd all be on the same page.
