You Put Peanut Butter on What?!

OK. Peanut Butter. Most of us love the stuff. But we love it in differing ways. My mom and I liked it spread on Keebler saltines, topped with a layer of room temperature butter and another saltine. I like it all melty on dark, hot, white bread toast. I don't mind it on Ritz-style saltine crackers. And it is good encased in milk chocolate, as in a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I like peanut M&Ms and PayDay bars. I also like those peanut butter and orange cracker packs/ Lastly, I enjoy peanut butter cookies. In particular, there were two kinds of peanut butter cookies I savored. One was called Gauchos. The other is sweet peanut butter in wafer sheets. YUMMY! But there are preparations of peanut butter I cannot stand. One is peanut butter spread in sticks of celery. How do YOU enjoy peanut butter?

I'm not a very big fan of peanut butter. I don't like the way it sticks to the roof of one's mouth. When I do occasionally have it, I like it in a sandwich and NEVER with sweet things (like jelly or jam or marmalade). While some chopped celery mixed in actually sounds rather good, I think I agree that filled into celery sticks is not the way to go. Soft cheese is better for that. I haven't needed to catch a mouse for a long time but I understand that peanut butter is far more effective than cheese for the job and can be used as a successful bait for many other animals as well.

I don't enjoy cheese in celery. My preference for celery is cooked, or chopped find in certain salads. As to mice, in school one of the girls for our science fair established peanut butter is far superior to cheese.

Melty on sourdough toast or English muffins. On Ritz of course. But I dislike any peanut butter style candy except for Reese's. No to peanut butter cookies.

Ah! English muffins. I had forgotten. Me, too. But they must be toasted DARK. I agree with the candy statement. But YES, a most definitely decided YES to cookies!

I also like peanut M&M's, I was looking for them at the store and could not find them. I also like Reese's peanut butter cups too. I also like peanut butter plain with a spoon or on bread.

It's the common sandwich spread in my country. We also add peanut butter in our native dish called "kare-kare".
Tweaking my Karekare recipe to make into seafood instead of the usual beef was not at all difficult. I chanced upon a Kare-kare seafood dish in one of the Filipino parties I went to. I surely didn't
