Have you exercised

your right to vote? This is my question to those who have election periods in their places, specifically in my country, Philippines.
My son left ahead of us (me and my sister) at 5AM because he works as paralegal assistant in one of the candidates of a local position here in my city. He was encouraged by a girl friend to join her; anyway, this is for 2 days only. I texted him and he said it was boring.
I and my sister left the house at 6:15AM and although the polling precincts should open at 6AM, there were so many people already waiting to cast their votes. As usual, there were many people, who sell soft drinks, cold bottled water, candies, and noodles and juice, all with hiked prices.
It is the third time that I voted in national and local elections, and the final procedure after putting my vote in that VCM (the counting machine) is that the staff will put a small drop of the indelible ink on the right index fingernail; now it is blue and so easy to remove-before it was black ink and it takes days to remove it.
The receipt of the candidates I voted for is true and authentic, so I am happy I exercised my freedom, right, privilege, and responsibility to vote.
Have you exercised your right?

@just4him it is still partial and unofficial results, my friend. the president is now several million votes away from the 2nd place, and the 2nd place already conceded. here in my place, the mayor whom i voted won, but we will hear some words of "count back again the votes because there is cheating" again.

my bet was the last in the partial tally and i am just glad because i voted for the right person but there are several million people who cast their votes to another person who they think will improve my country and their lives as well.

@ridingbet When the election in my country are coming they send us the paper to vote and we send the papers to the local Italian Consulate, no need to go to my country.

@LadyDuck oh, just like the overseas Filipino workers (ofw) where they cast their votes and send them to the embassy or consulate. we call that Absentee Voting!

i went at 6AM and left at 10AM and i am contented because all the personalities i voted for appeared in my receipt. and yes, if we won't be contented again with the incoming administration, for sure there will be some who will go to the streets and rally again

Yes, I do. I voted this morning, went there exactly 6:00 A.M. and finished voting at 10:30 A.M. because our precinct pole has the biggest numbers of voters. Inedible ink is very easy to remove when you use some chlorine with soup powder, just try it friend.

i voted for the iron lady, MDS. sadly she lost, but i am glad my vote counted for her. i do not know what is in store for our country now that Duterte won the presidency, but i hope it will bear good outcome.
