I am not expecting anyone to like or comment on this post. I just want to share this emotional scene that happened today when I was walking to office. I saw a man holding onto the tail of a street dog and very carefully that dog crossed the road making sure that he doesn't have to run in between to avoid traffic. Later I realised that man was blind. It really got me emotional and forced me to think if they can, why can't we?

That's really sad but your last sentence reminds me of my favourite cousin. He grew up in a rich family, very well sheltered, but he went to the Philippine Military Academy instead of going to a university. He had a difficult life there because the officials knew he came from an affluent family. Every time my Uncle came for a visit, he gets punished in front of his own father. My parents were very concerned about it too and wanted him to quit. So he sent my mom a photo of him in his uniform with a quote from the back that said: if others can, why can't I. Sorry i'm out of the topic.

@sonesh1 I was very proud of him then. I went there to visit him once as he requested my parents for my presence since he missed me a lot. When he graduated and because an army, we wrote each other letters. Sometimes he would call me too back then.

@toniganzon That's very kind of him. I am sure you miss you. You both really seem to have a good bond. May be that's why you mentioned Favorite before talking about him :) :*

That's a very brave thing to do. You should really be proud of your cousin. It's not out of the topic Toni. All I wanted to convey is we should always be ready to help when given an opportunity and your cousin had found an opportunity to help :) Really proud :)

Right. People just want to be better than others and don't even see when they stand themselves. Now a days identity is based upon how better you are from others, not how better you are today than yesterday :(

@sabashekh Specially in India ( I guess you are from here too) I have seen people not caring for each other and on the other side there are some people who unconditionally just go ahead and help, which restores faith in humanity. I sometimes don't understand which side to choose... Ignorance is bliss. but ignoring such thing would really be a bliss ????

Wow, I guess the dog knew that the guy needed help. Maybe he could adopt this dog and use it as a service animal.

The dog was of that person. That person looked to me like a beggar and it was a street dog. M sure no special trainings provided. But no training can do what love and loyalty can

That is indeed a very emotional incident. It only shows how animals can have a bigger heart than most humans. I hope humans learn something from this incident.

Well now I really hope this reaches to everyone out there. If this is creating an impact on our thinking. People really need to understand that helping hands are better than praying hands
