It has taken an year to accept the fact that my husband is messy person and no matter which technique i try on him he is not going to change. I tried methods generally people used to train pets that is rewarding when they do something good but no use.It works for sometime then everything is back to as it is. Finally i am trying to get mold myself into some one who is ok with messy room. But i stay cool sometime then after few days it becomes unbearable and i start shouting and cleaning.. How about yourself ?Are you cleanliness freak very organize person or messy forgo table kind.If you and your partners are in contrast in this department how do you keep your head cool? I have read on internet some couples divorcing over this issue.Although it sounds like people divorce over tiny matters ,being in same position i understand how difficult it is to tolerate mess when your are prefer clean and organize home.

My boyfriend is opposite, he's the clean one and keeps everything tidy while I make a mess. Lol.

You are right you wont be able to change them. You should of know this before you got married. Either accept it as a flaw or leave.

@piya84 Wow! Really, we learn something everyday. I would want to live with him that is usually how relationships fall apart.

my last partner was kind of messy but im a neat freak. we talked about it and he somehow changed. well he wasnt really that bad at first, just needs guidance where to put things properly, clean after cooking.. that sort. its not the reason why we broke up though.

I can understand how this can be a problem, but I don't let things like that bother me. I'm certainly not a cleanliness freak - life's too short for me to get upset. I've been married for 50 years, and the thing to do is just accept the way your husband is.

I myself can't stand seeing a messy place. I would always caught myself picking up the things at someone's apartment.
