This week I have decided to watch two movies. I will be watching the second movie on Wednesday.
So the first movie for this week is Cinderella. It was made last year. It's a remake of the classic story. It has Cate Blanchett, Lily James, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Madden, Sophie McShera, Nonso Anozie, Stellan SkarsgÄrd, Derek Jacobi, Ben Chaplin, Holliday Grainger, and Hayley Atwell.
Big Warning: there are some really sad parts in it.
In this version of Cinderella, there is some backstory of how the step-mother came her step-mother, and and the reason behind the step-mother being so cruel. Like people have said on IMDB, this step-mother isn't as evil as the cartoon, but she does seem be real.
The animals don't talk either. But they seem friendly.
I really liked this version better than the Disney movie. Although I did like Ever After too.
Wednesday I'm watching City On Fire. Next week I'm watching either Django (old version), or Room.

I liked the Drew Barrymore version, and I don't really like the cartoon version from Disney. But I am wary of new versions of old stories. Somehow, they tend to be much changed. There's a movie with Anne Hathaway that is a take on the Cinderella story that is also cute - Ella Enchanted? Something like that.

@MGjhaud I'm listening to the book Room now. City on Fire is a Chinese movie. I think the main character is Inspector Lau / Uncle Kung (as Sun Yueh).
