Introducing myself to myLot

Hello everyone, I just wrote my first post here today and did not introduce myself to all of you. I am going to do that now. My name is Hanni and I live in Israel.
In 1986, I made aliya to Israel, actually to Jerusalem, the capital. I have traveled to alot of places here, but, I always found myself back in Jerusalem and so this is where I have been living for over 29 years now. Someone wanted me to explain to you what aliya is. Aliya is when a Jew immigrates to The Jewish State because they are Jewish. It like coming Home. If you want to ask me something please do so. Thank you.

@Hannihar I really like that name Hanni! When I was little I had a doll that I named Hanni. Just a nice name.
I am glad to read a bit more about you. It's always nice to learn about each other on here.

@Hannihar That sounds cool. I once looked up what my name was and apparently it's a Hebrew name. Danielle, which means "God is my judge."

Yes Danelle is a Hebrew name. Are you Jewish? Have you ever been to Israel?

Thank you for welcoming me. A friend told me about it. If you have questions you would like to ask me then ask away and I will answer what I can. Israel is a very beautiful country and if you get a chance to come visit here you should. Today is our 68th birthday since it became a State in 1948.

i remember one member from israel in the old mylot but i can't even remember his/her name anymore.
i thought aliya was a female name. thank you for sharing the meaning.
have you ever gone back to minnesota for a visit?

You are welcome and glad you understand what aliya is now. I went back in the very beginning to bring things here and then had to go back in 1989 to make some money. I had to be there for 6 months and I was afraid I would never get back to Israel, but, I did and I do not leave. There is really no place to go. There are places here to visit. I am a homebody so don't leave Jerusalem much. I have seen lots of the country.
