Our country has a new president. He is former Mayor of Davao City, Rodrigo Duterte. What happens next? A big change for the better? Well, we are all hoping for the best to our country. We hope drugs, kidnapping, carnapping, and all criminal acts will be totally eliminated as what Duterte has promised to the people during his campaign . He even said that all of the above will be wiped out after first six months of his administration. So let's all wait and see.God bless the Philippines! Any thoughts?

Sorry, but all those things will not happen in the first 6 months of his administration. He was just saying what he thought might get him elected, like everybody else!

I know but people idolized him for that. Well, he was able to eliminate all criminals in his city when he was the mayor. I hope he can do it in our country.

I think there will be a hard time implementing new rules and laws here in the Philippines. It's been decades since there is no such kind of president. I think he is no GOD. He is still a normal person and he has a limited knowledge in controlling the nation, not unlike the late president Marcos who have all the power and knowledge to control the whole nation and implementing Martial LAW. Let's just wait and see. I hope all the best for the Philippine residents.

Marcos had all the powers but he used them negatively. I hope Duterte will use his power in positive manner.

I think he promised things he can't deliver. I hope he drastically reduces all of those horrible things, but it's impossible to stop it all. Your country is beautiful with wonderful citizens. I'd hate for you all to be misled. However, I hope he can do it.

His promise to eliminate criminals in six months is quite questionable. Just let us see.

I am sure President Duterte can change a lot and fulfill what he said but not in 6 months time. People has to change as well and follow the rules and regulations he will implement. I have been to Davao and saw what good things he has done to the people and to the city.
