Joy of reading

Reading a book is an absolute joy. Turning over the pages of your favourite book or an interesting novel gives immense pleasure. It gives a content feel once I finish a book. But the growth of technology keeps people away from reading books. People thinks we are an old school when we hold books in paper format. I think the traditional way of book reading and even newspaper or magazine reading is seemingly decreased nowadays. Spending time in the social networking sites most of the time takes us away from these native habits. So what do you people think about this change. Does reading gives you pleasure?

Absolutely! I've been a book lover (printed versions) and newspaper reader since I was a kid. I always get excited & happy every time I read a book or a newspaper. I'm beyond happy holding & reading them. I never created a social media account because I don't need it.

A lot of people read on their kindles or other devices. So at least people are still reading. I personally prefer the look and feel of a book, having a physical book on my shelf. Who knows? One day maybe books will be obselete.

I love reading, and think the same as you. There is nothing like retiring to a comfortable place with a book in your hands, instead of watching a cold screen. Yet, I don't diminish the value of new technologies, since, due to time restrictions, reading from my phone, is the only chance I have, when I am on the bus or waiting for someone for a meeting. But, definitely, is not the same feeling.

You're right, there is nothing like turning the leaves of a book. It's not the same feeling as rolling your finger across a Kindle screen or looking at your laptop screen and reading. But if you're a reader, reading will give you enjoyment no matter whether the format is digital or hard copy. You'll even like audio books. I do!

The worst thing about reading a good book is that you can never again read it for the first time.

I've always enjoyed reading. Ever since I was a kid. It's fun, relaxing, and a bit of an escape. I can't help but want to read as much as I can.
