I had insomnia!

I suffered for a long, long time with sleeplessness/insomnia. This brought anxiety and depression with it. But now, i have come up with a solution and it is working very well. I am sharing with you so that you can try it and see if it makes a difference in your life as well. I used to wake up at 9 a.m. and go to bed after 2 a.m. Now, for the past few days, I set my alarm for 5:30 a.m., wakes up and goes for a walk of 1 kms and then run a mile and after that do some stretching and yoga for at least an hour and then come back. Now i am feeling sleepy around 9 p.m. and it is harder for me to keep me from not sleeping.

Good habit. Having enough exercise always makes you sleep better. I think you have a good diet too, else it will still be hard to fall asleep at night.

@ramanandg Good to hear that. Now you know why the old people always say to rise early and sleep early.

Fair enough, that is what you need, deep sound sleep.

@else34 don't watch TV at least 1/2 an hour before going to bed, instead listen soothing music or do meditation. Nothing fancy about meditation, just sit in a comfortable posture and stay still with focus on your breathing that will help

First, one would have to be "physically" able to do this. Sure won't work for me.

If you explain me why "physically" you are not able to do this, maybe I can help you as i know many yoga postures which i do practice and can help you making your body and mind tired enough to have a good sound sleep
