Images or No Images

I've had a couple of thoughts for posts to share here today, but have bypassed all of them because I don't have a suitable image to share with them.
I know I can use sites like morguefile and pixabay, but sometimes I just get tired of going on a hunt for good images.
Everything I've read about blogging has said that images are super important, because readers have short attention spans and cant focus on large blocks of text without pretty pictures to break it up.
Is the same true here on Mylot? Are you more likely to click on a post if it has an image attached or not?

yes, it takes me quite a while browsing through pixabay to find a picture i like
no, the picture is just one factor for me. there's also the title, the first few lines of the post, and the person writing it.

Thats what they say, but it can be hard to find an image that says 1000 words that match what you are trying to write.

@nonersays This is, alas, true - a case of "good enough" needs to be applied, I think.

I enjoy my digital camera. It is just a cheap point and shoot one. Now I just need some more intersting things to take photos of.

I think it is enticement. Most people have a pretty short attention span and you have to grab them while you can.
